Ski Touring in the Monte Rosa group
1st day: Departure from Ortisei. Transfer to Zermatt via Milan. Arrival in Zermatt in the afternoon.
The hotel is located close to the train station.
2nd day: We will take a cable car to the Klein Matterhorn (3.883 m)
and then go on with skins on our skis to the peak of the Breithorn (4.165 m); a climb of approx. 500 m.
Option 1: descent on the Verra glacier to 2500 m
and then by helicopter to the Col del Lyskamm, also known as Signalkuppe, at 4.554 m.
Climb to the Capanna Margherita at 4.554 m and/or descend to the Rifugio Monte Rosa at 2.883 m.
Option 2: descend from the Breithorn and proceed,
after a short climb to the Schwarzgletscher, to the Gornergletscher. Final short ascent to the Rifugio Monte Rosa.
3rd day: ascend to the Dufour Peak, the highest peak in the Group with it 4.634 m.
After a beautiful descend we will sleep at the Rifugio Monte Rosa.
4th day: climb to the Stockhorn Peak at 3.532 m or to the Jazzi Peak.
Descent to Zermatt and transfer back.
Period: 18-21.04.2024
Included: guiding, transfer from Zermatt and back, hotel with half board in Zermatt,
cable car to the Klein Matterhorn, 2 nights at Rifugio Monte Rosa with half board, Gornergrad train ticket, equipment rental.

A good physical condition and good skiing are a prerequisite for climbing the Dufour Peak
