Hubert Moroder discovered his passion for climbing at the age of 14 and has been an active member of the Val Gardena Mountain Rescue Service since 1991, leading the organization successfully for many years. Alpinism, helicopter rescue and mountain rescue are as much a part of his life as traveling and discovering new countries. On his tours, both private and professional, he has had the opportunity to climb some of South America's most spectacular peaks, including Cerro Torre, Fitz Roy, Alpamayo and Illimani.
In 2001, Hubert completed his mountain guide training and has practiced this fascinating profession with enthusiasm ever since. He considers himself fortunate to live in the heart of the Dolomites, an Eldorado for alpinists that offers countless opportunities to experience the mountains in all their facets. Particularly long routes and demanding traverses consistently spark his excitement - in both summer and winter.
In addition to his work as a mountain guide at the Catores Alpine School, Hubert passes on his extensive knowledge to future mountain rescuers and guides. Furthermore, he works as a representative for renowned sports equipment companies, including Edelrid, Marmot and ABS, combining his passion for the mountains with years of experience in the outdoor industry.
